MEET THE FAMILY BEHIND THE FARM
Owners and your hosts, Shelley, Tyrone and our two young daughters moved from Perth searching for a more nourishing lifestyle. The moment we laid our eyes on a run down farm we knew we’d found the means.
Inspired by the raw beauty of the South Coast, we combined our skills to create a restorative escape — the kind of place we’d love to stay.

A LIGHTER FOOTPRINT
What was once a run down cattle farm, is on its journey of renewal.
The farm is as self sufficient as possible. All dwellings were designed and positioned to take advantage of the temperamental weather systems of Denmark. Cross ventilation keep the cabins cool in the hotter seasons and in the winter with the help of insulation, clever orientation and double glazed windows, wood fires run entirely from the wood of the fallen trees around the property.
Rainwater is captured from the dwellings with a capacity to hold 350,000 litres in water tanks which provide filtered water back to each cabin, cattle troughs and irrigate the garden.
We run our own septic system and our compost bins reduce landfill as well as creating soil for the water conscious native gardens.
The farm currently runs a small breeding herd of grass fed Hereford and Angus, playing an important role in reviving the diversity of the pasture.
A commitment to using quality Australian fixtures and finishes throughout the cabins was integral to the project.
Every effort is made to ensure the farms sustainability is constantly evolving.
