Denmark is a diverse and growing rural town. What was once an old milling town turned slow pace surf town is now an ocean side haven. It is slow yet alive, it is calm amongst the changing scenery, it is removed but not isolated. It is a place for the nature lovers, the explorers, the surfers, the fine diners, the foodies and the wine and beer lovers.

Denmark is located on the Great Southern Coastline of WA and is surrounded by other idyllic regional towns:

  • 5 hours to Perth

  • 40 minutes to Albany

  • 40 minutes to Walpole

  • 1.5 hours to Northcliffe/Pemberton

  • 2 hours to Manjimup

  • 3.5 hours to the Margaret River region

    Flame Trees Denmark - Located in the heart of town, a cosy wine bar known for its cocktails, food and Vinyl DJ sunday sessions.

    Pepper & Salt Restaurant - Silas Masih, one of WA’s best regional chefs showcases the sensational local and seasonal produce in his menu with inspiration from his Fijian-Indian heritage. Bookings essential.

    Denmark Farmhouse Cheese - Our wonderful neighbours right next door. Cheese and Charcuterie to enjoy in their restaurant or takeaway to enjoy a picnic at the farm.*

    The Lakehouse - Casual lunch in the beautiful gardens.*

    The Good Food Factory On the outskirts of town and an ideal lunch spot. Grab a burger and ice cream following a day at the beach or day trip from Walpole.

    Den Burger - Located in the heart of Denmark township. Locally sourced, regeneratively farmed, grass-fed beef as well as vegan/vegetarian options.

    Wholly Local - Local produce and homemade meals. Their family size lasagna is delicious and ready to pop in the oven in your cabin.

    Denmark Dairy Co - Not just for the best gelato in town but the perfect spot for takeaway pasta.

  • Greens Pool

    What Denmark is renowned for. A magical beach completely sheltered by the rounded rock boulders and expansive white beach. Perfect for a swim, stand up paddle and snorkelling. *

    Elephant Rocks

    Neighbours Greens Pool and set amongst the huge boulders that create the most idyllic setting. *

    Ocean Beach

    A local favourite and surf spot ideal for the whole family. The grassy area perfect for a sunset bevvy with a side of fish and chips. *

    Lights Beach

    Offers three different beaches to choose from with spectacular cliff views, protected cove and shallow rock pools. Princess Pool amongst the rocks near the stairs at the eastern beach is a stunning setting to soak in the sunshine. The Bibbulmun, WOW and Munda Bidi tracks also take off from the car park for a scenic walk or bike ride. *

    Parry Beach

    If you fancy a bit of four wheel driving, head onto the sand at Parry’s for a spot of fishing or surfing. Be sure to check the tide times before venturing out. *

  • Denmark is at the heart of many bike and walking trails which introduce you to the wide range of landscapes and rich history this town holds. Encounter granite outcrops, tall forests, wildflowers and the wild coastline.

  • Valley of the Giants The Valley of the Giants is home to the famous Tree Top Walk which reaches a height of 40m above the forest floor. Experience the excitement of exploring the canopy of the magnificent tingle forest. This 600m walk has a gentle gradient which is suitable for children and wheelchairs.*

  • The Porongurup Range is culturally significant to the Menang and Goreng sub-groups of the Noongar people. The range contains many peaks and hiking trails, including Devils Slide, Nancy's Peak, Castle Rock which is capped with The Granite Skywalk, a steel viewing platform which provides panoramic views of the surrounding karri forest.

    The ranges are located around 50 minutes from the farm.*

  • Stirling Range National Park is home to the only major mountain range in the southern area of WA, rising to more than 1000m above sea level and creating a challenging and spectacular hiking experience. The Aboriginal name for the range, Koi Kyenunu-ruff, meaning ‘mist rolling around the mountains’ is a frequently seen occurrence.

    The ranges are located around 75 minutes from the farm.
